Mission: Space Camp 1:  TWO IDENTICAL SESSIONS NOW AVAILABLE: 

Afternoon Session - Monday September 12, Tuesday September 13, and Thursday September 15 (all dates 1pm - 4pm)

Morning Session - Monday September 19, Tuesday September 20, and Thursday September 22 (all dates 9am - Noon)

In it's 9th year! In this 3-day workshop, students will assist in the launching of multiple model rockets over 200 feet high, right in the HSB parking lot!

Here’s more about the science activities your child will participate in:

    • *Build a gigantic scale model of our solar system!Rocket-Launch.2b
    • *Drive a Remote Rover Across a Martian landscape!
    • *Create a real comet from dry ice & other secret ingredients!
    • *Build and launch multiple rockets while investigating mass, drag, acceleration, & gravity.
    • *Explore what it's really like to live on the International Space Station!
    • *Discover what it takes to put a rocket into earth's orbit at 17,500 mph!
    • *And much, much more!


Mission: Space Camp 2:  Monday October 3, and Tuesday October 4 (all dates Noon - 3pm)

All New! - Picks Up Where Space Camp 1 Leaves Off!  Here, your child will be in the "driver's seat" for two days of scientific discovery, exploration, and experimentation, and will go home excited about science! 

Here's some of what your child will discover:Train-Rocket.b

    • *Design, build, and launch their very own rockets (in small groups) in a friendly competition, for the fastest speed and highest altitude! 
    • *Discover what it's like to race the speed of light!
    • *Identify elements in stars by looking at different gases through a real Spectroscope!
    • *Learn how the Doppler Effect is used to observe the Milky Way as it’s expanding at tremendous speeds!
    • *Explore the reality of black holes, and the principles behind wormholes, parallel universes, and time travel
    • *Design, Build, and Launch rockets while exploring Newton’s three laws of motion!
    • *Play an original game - "Mission: Space Olympics" - while discovering the very real challenges of working in space!
